So, Microsoft finally did it. They killed Windows 10. For the last decade, it was a perfectly fine, usable operating system. Now, it's a security risk unless you want to pay them protection money for "extended security updates." Their solution? Shove everyone onto Windows 11, an OS that feels less like a tool and more like spyware designed to sell you things.
Let's call Windows 11 what it is: a bloated, ad-riddled mess and a fuc*ing SPYWARE. They took a working interface, hid everything useful, and filled the empty space with "widgets" and Teams integrations nobody asked for. It demands brand-new hardware for no good reason, turning perfectly good laptops into e-waste. It spies on everything you do, collecting your data to "improve your experience" while shoving ads in your face. It's not an upgrade. It's a trap.
So what's the alternative? Leaving your PC to rot without updates? Buying a whole new machine just to run their GARBAGE OS? No. The real answer is to just walk away. It's time for Linux.
Look, I'm tired of being forced into these cycles. I'm tired of corporations making my hardware obsolete on a whim. Windows 10 was fine and kind of perfect if you debloat it with some scrips from Cristitus or Raphire. They're killing it to force you onto a platform that serves them, not you. DON'T PLAY THEIR GAME
Ideally, utilize an operating system that works for you; you are not the end product. Some personal recommendations would be the Fedora project (Gnome or KDE), which is very good and very stable, developed in partnership with Red Hat.
